well its only a "longboard" by the way you use it. so longoards have hard weels for a style of riding called slyding, and yess u can use regular standard kingpin skate trucks for longboarding, make sure they arent to tight or you lose the hole longobard feeling. and if u where gonna just be cruzin arround i would get softer wheels cuz its easier on you and all the ppl that hear it lol. what alot of ppl do with a skateboard deck is drill out the holes for the trucks on the nose and tail so both trucks are wedged up, it goves u a larger foot platform and the wedging makes the stake trucks alot more carvy. any other questions feel free to ask!
